If a picture is worth a thousand words what must a Norman Rockwell be worth? Just a glance at his work and you are instantly filled with the aroma and flavor of a simpler time in American life. A time when we knew our neighbors and trusted them to keep an eye on our children, a time when honesty and hard work were the way things were rather than the way things used to be. In short a Norman Rockwell painting opens the flood gates of nostalgia.

Jesus spoke the words, "For you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." (Jn.8:32). There is much revealed in this statement. It is clear that truth is knowable. Some would have us believe that truth is evasive and unknowable.
